Slim Force is excited to welcome Greg Leitch to the mobile personal training team this month. Greg will be servicing some of the western suburbs of Melbourne and is ready to rock and roll with some new clients. Here is a bit about him.
Greg’s Service Area
Seabrook and Surrounding Suburbs: Altona Meadows, Hoppers Crossing, Laverton, Point Cook, Saltwater Coast, Sanctuary Lakes, Seabrook and Williams Landing.
Three years ago I was morbidly obese. I decided I needed to make some changes in my life and become fitter and healthier. I lost 40 kgs in 12 months*, which made me realise how much I had been missing out on. I taught myself to run properly, which allowed me to run 2 half marathons within 12 months*. I have since completed another half and in 2014 ran my first marathon. Through doing this I decided that I would like to help others make the changes to their lives that I have made to mine and change their outlook on health, well being and hopefully allow them to understand that nothing is impossible if you work hard towards it.
I have also completed 10 Ride to Conquer Cancer rides, raising in excess of $50K personally for cancer hospitals, which means I have ridden over 2000kms in 20 days. I believe that giving back is an important part of life and if it can help me and others push our physical boundaries and adapt mentally to push the limits, then why not? I have coached others to take part in these rides that have started from being a non-cyclist, to now being a regular rider.
I believe that people need to concentrate of improving their health and fitness whilst not worrying too much about the scales. If you are doing all the right things and feel good on the inside, the benefits will flow on and feeling happy and healthy is the most important thing.
