Sarah’s Story
I completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2009, majoring in Behavioural Science and Sociology. Not knowing what I wanted to do as a career, I also completed my Certificate III and IV in fitness in 2007 and 2008. I worked as a personal trainer in Hobart for three years. I also took group exercise classes, worked with older adults, children and rehabilitation. In early 2011 I completed my Diploma in Fitness. My passion for health and fitness grew during this time, but I was getting itchy feet and wanted a sea change.
I am currently studying a Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Primary). My dream is to educate young children and families on living a healthy lifestyle and help to turn their lives around.
In December 2011 I suffered a significant stroke. Although it was a very serious health scare, it has been a blessing in disguise to follow my passion and inspire others. I have created a Facebook page called Jump Into Life, which has lots of healthy eating tips, kids lunch box ideas, recipes, workout ideas and strategies to build a positive mind and body image. The page also features my body transformation, becoming the fittest and strongest I can possibly be.
